With a professional playing career spanning 17 years, which include over 350 professional games and 15,000+ runs. Representing Gloucestershire throughout his professional career, Chris built a reputation as one of the clubs most reliable opening batsman. He competing against some of the best bowlers in county and international game, his longevity at the highest domestic level reflects not only his skill and work ethic but also his deep understanding of batting performance, preparation and mindset.
Alongside his playing career, Chris has developed a passion for coaching and player development. Holding the ECB Core Coach Qualification and currently working towards the ECB Advanced Coach Award, he has spent years helping cricketers of all ages and abilities improve their game.
Chris is the Founder and Head Coach of Chris Dent Pro Cricket Academy, where he works with aspiring young players, club cricketers and emerging professionals. His coaching focuses on developing technically sound, adaptable and confident batters through an approach that combines professional experience with modern coaching methods.
In addition to running the academy, Chris works closely with Glamorgan County Cricket Club as a batting consultant, supporting players in their technical development, tactical awareness and performance preparation.
Drawing on nearly two decades of professional cricket experience, Chris delivers coaching that is practical, personalised and proven. Whether working with a young player taking their first steps in the game or an experienced cricketer looking to maximise performance, his aim remains the same: helping players unlock their potential and achieve their goals.
